Relief & Intaglio Printing

Relief and Intaglio printing .jpeg

The relief and intaglio workshop offers a wide choice of techniques and materials. Experienced specialists will guide you through the processes of

  • relief printing - a technique in which the image is carved or cut out on the surface of a block and ink is applied to the raised areas for printing;
  • intaglio - the opposite of relief printing, where the image is carved or etched into the surface and ink is applied to the grooves for printing;
  • monotype - a unique printing method in which an image is painted or drawn on a smooth surface and transferred to paper, creating a unique print.

With a range of materials at your fingertips, from wood, linoleum and cardboard to zinc or aluminium sheets, you will transform your visions into tangible prints. The workshop provides a supportive environment in which you can experiment, innovate and make prints. We use non-toxic materials as much as possible.
