Ecology of Printmaking
How to express your relation to the natural world and visualize this encounter in the process of making plates and prints? Oscillate between objective observation and subjective experience and make a translation into printmaking. Do not overthink it but experiment with materials and technique. Inquiry is key. Look into the small and the big aspects of nature and see the intricate web of ecology- how organisms are related. Observe closely; look for patterns, grow molds on your window still, lift stones, take a walk in the forest, listen to the rain. From each encounter, make printing plates intuitive, open and starting from material that you collect. In the process of doing and making you will discover and find your way. All you need is curiosity and stamina. What can curiosity, material and technique generate?

Art out of Philosophy
Art shall not bow before philosophy and neither the other way around. In a seminar-setting we stage encounters between philosophical text, in the one corner, and hard-working students in the other. During an encounter nothing is guaranteed. At best, after such an encounter, art morphs into different and wondrous shapes, and so does philosophy, much like the orchid that has shaped its body after the wasp it hopes to attract (and to make some sort of love with). Questions such as the following might come up during such encounters: What are the implications of the interplay between these two forms of creation? Is there a way to practice philosophie through art? Is it possible to borrow artistic strategies and methods from philosophy?

Imaginative Dialogues
This module is about how to shape Imaginative Dialogues in which everyone's voice can be heard and differences are not dismissed or magnified, but instead are used as a stimulating subject of dialogue. A dialogue where through the arts all senses are engaged; its form is performative, visual, narrative, auditive. How do you listen to the other person? How do you suspend your opinions?
