Silkscreen Printmaking

screenprinting.jpeg

Silkscreen printmaking (or Screen-printing is a versatile and flexible printing method with numerous applications. It serves not only as a means of transferring images onto different surfaces such as paper, fabric or wood, but also as a technique for reproducing artworks, transforming existing images, integrating them into mixed media projects. It can also be used as a stand-alone artistic expression.  Similar to other printmaking techniques, it involves the cultivation of graphic thinking – constructing an image and translating it into intricate layers.

Our exploration goes beyond the printing process itself, diving into the world of analogue and digital images and using software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
