Step into the unknown and embrace chaos. Enter The Void. Barry Kuiper, better known as Voidrunner is a hardcore (gabber) Dj and producer from the north. This year, he is signed to the Border Town label of well-known hardcore Dj Nosferatu and consistently releases music. He combines the hardest beats and kick drums with unique melody lines and a compelling sience-fiction theme. At the Graduation Festival, he will test out his live act for the first time. Enter The Void will take the audience on a journey into his simulation world called The Void. During the show, reality will momentarily cease to exist to provide the audience with the ultimate escape. A psychedelic journey through light and dark, accompanied by extreme music and visual performance elements. As if experiencing a trip without having to take any drugs.

Concept Description

The concept “enter the void” is a hardcore live act centered on the theme of Science Fiction. Through music, visuals and performance elements, a story is told. The story is about a hacker 'Voidrunner', who can bring people into a simulation world with a futuristic computer installation. Voidrunner thereby offers people an escape from reality and relieve from worries.

This show is the first version of the simulation world, called “the Void. A test subject is introduced who is allowed to enter 'the Void' for the first time by placing electrodes that are in turn connected to Voidrunner's computer system. Spectators can experience his experience audio/visually. In the Void, the subject takes a journey through fears, personal barriers, trauma, relief, euphoria and joy. Trauma and fears are represented using horror elements. An example is a dark forest surrounded by demons and dark figures. Once the subject overcomes his fears he travels to a colorful universe and his thoughts and feelings are transformed to pure euphoria. The music and visuals go through this change as well.

My name is Voidrunner and my mission is to lift you out of reality with my music. I strive to make you escape the daily rut for at least three minutes. ''Enter The Void and escape your reality''.

Vision

I embrace science fiction as the central theme of my work. Inspired by works such as “The Matrix” and “Star Wars. My vision is to use hardcore music, combined with DJ performances and visuals, to create an experience where you feel like you are immersed by technology in an immersive simulation. I strive to make my music so intense and surprising that you are completely absorbed in the moment, as if nothing else exists but the sensation my performance creates. My music is like drugs without having to use substances. I want to achieve this by adding performance elements to it. It is then not just a Dj set with some effects, it is a journey and an experience through your consciousness. Something that can make you think afterwards or during the show.
