Art as a means of making the unspeakable negotiable.
Dark Matter
- Offcourses

Welcome to this special exhibition -created in collaboration between Academie Minerva and Stichting Spotlight- in which eight art students from Minerva and eight victims of organized (sexual) violence in their childhood show their co-creative work and process. You become part of a unique process, in which art is not only a form of expression, but also builds a bridge between experiences, emotions and understanding of the participants.
The artworks here were created from conversations between art students, and members of the Spotlight Foundation. The result is a collection of images that do not always tell a literal story, but rather reflect the impressions and emotions this collaboration has brought about - both for the students and those affected. Some works were literally made together, others are reactions to each other, but there are also individual pieces in between. These are from the students, as well as the victims.
